Martin Shkreli Apparently Has A Copy Of ‘Tha Carter V’

Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V has to be one of the most coveted rap albums there is. The highly anticipated album has been shrouded in controversy since it was supposed to be released back in 2013. Alleged legal disputes have put the album on an indefinite hiatus, so no one really knows when, or if, it will ever be released.

“Pharma bro” Martin Shkreli claims to be one of the few people who has heard the entire album. The Daily Caller’s Alex Pfeiffer recently told on Twitter how Shkreli apparently got his hands on the album.

“I’ll always remember how Shkreli told me he got the Carter 5. Wayne sold his Bugatti and left the CD in there..new owner sold it to shkreli,” Pfeiffer wrote.

Pfeiffer later followed up the post, telling Pigeons and Planes: “Martin told me that Lil Wayne sold his Bugatti Veyron to some guy. The guy then discovered CDs and assorted personal belongings of Wayne in the car. [The guy] called Wayne and asked if he wanted them back and Wayne said ‘no.’ One of these CDs turned out to be Tha Carter V and he sold it to Shkreli.”

This conversation allegedly happened January 17, 2017, as Pfeiffer evidenced by a picture captured by John Hudson on Twitter. Pfeiffer says that Shkreli played a few snippets of the album as evidence, although he does not remember much of what they were like.
