LaVar Ball and The Game think Lonzo Ball Will Be An NBA Champion Next Year

Lonzo Ball was only drafted into the LA Lakers last week, but people are already predicting the college superstar will go far.

After an ESPN reporter asked Lonzo’s father LaVar about how he is expecting his son to perform in his first NBA season, Lonzo responded:

“I’m going to tell you what: Lonzo Ball is going to take the Lakers to the playoffs his first year. Come see me when he does. I’ll have another hat on that say, ‘I told you so.’”

LA native The Game also showed high hopes for the rookie, telling TMZ that Lonzo will take the Lakers to a championship next year. When the TMZ interviewer asked The Game if he believed that LeBron James would come to the Lakers, Game told TMZ “He better, because we’re about to win a championship.” TMZ then responded by asking “Do you think he could help out Lonzo?”

“Lonzo don’t need no help,” The Game responded.

The Lakers had the third-worst record last season, finishing 25-56.
