Jay-Z Wants To Buy Harvey Weinstein’s Company Shares

With Harvey Weinstein being fired from his film production company, his shares are now up for grabs. According to TMZ, Jay-Z apparently wants them.

Weinstein previously owned 23% of The Weinstein Company before his recent firing. TMZ is reporting that Jay-Z, along with other investors including “a famous movie producer and a billionaire”, is looking at acquiring those shares. The rapper already has a professional relationship with Weinstein and his company – he and Weinstein recently executive produced The Kalief Browder Story together. Jay-Z is also said to have a Trayvon Martin miniseries in production with the company as well as a first-look film deal.
