Jay-Z Speaks Publicly On Elevator Fight With Solange For The First Time

For the first time ever, Jay-Z is publicly speaking on the infamous elevator incident with Solange after the Met Gala in 2014.

When Jay-Z went on the Rap Radar Tidal podcast to speak on his most recent album 4:44, he was asked about the situation. “We’ve had one disagreement ever,” he said of Solange. “Before and after, we’ve been cool. She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister. Not my sister-in-law. My sister.”

Jay-Z also used the interview to speak on his disagreements with Kanye West. “You got hurt, because this guy was talking about you on a stage. But what really hurt me, you can’t bring my kid or my wife into it. We’ve gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem with me.”
